Characteristics of foam polystyrene:

• Low heat conductivity (0,027-0,040 W/m°Ñ) and density (15-40 kg/m3).

• Water absorption at immersing in water for 7 days is 0,5-1,5 % from volume.

• Sorptive humidity of foam polystyrene is 3-6 % in weight

• Diffusion of steam in foam polystyrene is neglible small.

• Foam polystyrene is a non-polluting material.

• At burning of foam polystyrene water and carbonic gas are formed.

Thermal isolation of roof and floor

Today modern construction requires materials which allow in Short terms to put in operation economic, non-polluting, warm And fireproof buildings. One of such materials is polystyrene concrete. In Last time it widely applied for thermal isolation of a roof and floor.

Our enterprise also is engaged in this direction in construction and performs works on developing of a floor and a roof with use of polystyrene concrete on the basis of extender " Polystyrene " which has high thermal isolation and also sound-proof properties

Polystyrene concrete with extender " Polystyrene " (further behind the text polystyrene concrete) is applied as a layer in designs of a floor and roof of apartment, houses and buildings with a different function.

On average density 300 kg/m3 it can be classified as a thermal isolation material.

By results of qualifying acoustic tests an index of reductions of the resulted level of shock noise by a floor with use of polystyrene concrete covering with thickness of 50 mm with superficial density 120 kg/m2 is 23 dB and it can be applied as a sound-proof layer.

Polystyrene concrete relate to light concrete. Low average density of concrete is achieved due to application of a light extender – foam polystyrene and " Polystyrene ".

Due to processing of granules of an extender " Polystyrene " by special chemical additives it is achieved their equal distribution in thickness of a layer of polystyrene concrete and it prevents stratification of concrete mixes.

By results of the state sanitary-and-epidemiologic examination an extender " Polystyrene " is safe for health and can be used to destination.

According to fire - technical classification on item 2.3 DBN 1.1-7-2002 polystyrene concrete relate to class G1 ( low combustibility ).

Polystyrene concrete floor will consist of two layers: polystyrene concrete and cement covering. Polystyrene concrete layer in dependences on density (volumetric weight) of polystyrene concrete relate to four marks - 200; 250; 300; 350 kg/m3.

Thickness of layer is 50-120 mm and depends on a place of its placement (a ground floor of the house, the following floors or overlapping of a roof ). The cement covering is performed from cement sand solution of mark M-150 with thickness 30 mm.

Our enterprise performs works at amounts of works not less than 200 m2.
